You might want to lock your Mac security settings and hide the 3rd option again, as you wish. It will verify it (might take a moment) and then open just fine. (You might need to unlock options first by clicking on the padlock and entering your password) In the general tab at the bottom you will have "Authorize apps dowloaded from." you will now have a 3rd option that's normally hidden: "Everywhere". Once it's done you can go to System Preferences then Security Nothing will appear when you write, it's normal. It will ask for your admin password, enter it (it's the one that unlocks your Mac when you start it). In your terminal write: sudo spctl -master-disable We need to enable those unidentified devs Stop trying and launch your terminal (alt+space to open spotlight, search terminal). If you have a problem because PlayOnMac is an unidentified developer, follow the next steps. IF ok when you try to open it, skip to chapter 2. This is a kinda legal version of playing, you won't have it for free here. Please note that first of all, before starting, you will have to pay 20$/€ to buy AoE2 HD on your normal Steam for Mac. I've seen a few people having trouble with it and helped some on another thread so I figured, why not write a full guide? Some steps might be useless for some but yeah I might as well be exhaustive.
